This is the eighth tale in a series aimed at children aged 7-9 years who are able to read independently. Here we have the sad story of Branwen who went to Ireland with her husband Matholwch. Her brother Bendigeidfran, however, had to rescue her after receiving a message from a little starling that Branwen had sent on her behalf to Harlech.
